My one gripe about the game is that sometimes there is nothing but barren land to look at when you change Mario to 3D, at least when there is not going to be an immediate need for him to be in 3D. You always know that there is going to be something important to do in the 3D realm when there is something other than flat, empty ground there. It might have been nice to furnish the 3D landscapes a bit more. Of course, that also might cause us to have to switch between 2D and 3D CONSTANTLY to see if we have missed anything, so maybe they got it just right, I am just not realizing it yet.
So Funkmaster would you say Godfather is better than Zelda? You had more fun playing Godfather? Just curious.

To me Zelda is the better game...but I had more actual fun playing through The Godfather. If that makes any sense.
Zelda hits you on all fronts, visually, plot wise, gameplay...except there are far more lulls due to the dungeons and wandering around.
The Godfather offers some real quick gratifcation. It doesn't take long to master the controls and choking the 100th mobster is still just as satisfying as choking your first. There are a ton of different missions and "forcing" people to "respect" you is a hoot. The Godfather is an a pretty average looking game, that uses its movie license really well. Zelda is better, but based on pure fun factor The Godfather gets my vote.
If you are torn between the two and you aren't a huge action adventure or Zelda fan...get The Godfather. It really surprised me.

I have to agree with EGM's review, *gasp*, when they listed "inconsisent level design" as a flaw. Some parts of this game are brillant, but alot of it drags too. Overall, I'm not having any great fun with this game. It feels like a boring game with the occasional "wow" moment to sucker you into not stopping. There's simply too much boring filler in this game, and not enough fun "wow" moments.

What I'm probably going to do is get both and then not get Heatseakers. I just read the ign review of Heatseakers 5.5 and that kind of gave me a bad feeling.

His main beefs:
Graphics. Well, if you own a Wii, you shouldn't care about that so much. An overrated feature of most games.
Simplistic. Whenever I see this complaint from someone who is paid to play games and write about them full time, I ignore it. Just like complaints about game length.
Otherwise, he goes on about how cool the controls are and how fun the game is! So methinks his review could be bunk.
As far as it goes, a 7.5 from Nintendo Power (the score they ave Heatseekers) on a third party title for a Nintendo system usually means I'll think it's worth around 7.5 (a 7.5 on a first party game from Nintendo Power means I'll likely think it's worth 6 or less). Meanwhile, an arcade type game getting a 5.5 from EGM usually means I'll score it about an 8.0, and a 9.0 from EGM on a "deep" game usually means I'll think it's a 6. Thus, I'm thinking I'll think Heatseekers is somewhere between a 7 and 8. It's definitely the first game I'm picking up when I head to the city next week, so I'll be able to let you know soon how it is.
I'm still a bit bummed that I'm seemingly in the only "Marble Mania" fan here. It'd be a crying shame if I'm the sole owner of this game, relating to this message board.
Zen, have you tried the multiplayer mode in Marble Mania yet? I read a review that said it is pretty lame. I was wondering if that was true. If the multiplayer mode is actually pretty fun, I might pick it up this weekend.
I'm going to wager that he hasn't played very far into it.

I'd wager that, too. It was actually just my smart ass way of trying to get him to admit he was judging the game before he actually played more than the first level. The nerd lizard was absolutely hilarious.

I'm not the one to ask. I just know shaking a sword for 70 hours sucks. The Godfather is great.
