Ah, ilfe's little regrets.

True to form I sold my GC when we picked up a Wii. I like to cull my collection when it gets to big, I don't like stuff cluttered around if I am not using it, and I LOVE using the money from old assets to get new/different games.

I sold it with  2 controllers and a memory card, and really got jack for it because the market was gutted with GC, which I knew, and accepted.

And now my regret : I have 2 neices and a nephew all in the same family. The boy is just a baby, the middle girl is pretty young, but enjoys Nintendogs, and the oldest girl is a 2nd grader maybe, and I bring my games over to Grandma's once in a while and we all play. She loves Pikmin, (especially deathmatch)  calls them 'little rodents', and is hilarious to watch in single player mode. Those poor, loyal Pikmin. I am amazed how quickluy she picked up the controls on a fairly complicated game. After buying Animal Crossing, there is no doubt in my mind she would love that as well.

Why did I not just give my damn GC to these kids for a birthday/ Christmas present?!? I blew it, big time, didn't think of it till the deal was done and now feel pretty bad. I can rationalize it by saying games aren't the best thing for kids anyway, but certainly quality gaming is a better use for a T.V. then most of the garbage that is sent over the air today.

I think I will buy back a used GC on EBAY, pretend it is my old one, and give it to them. Just a little morality tale from Steerforth : Remeber the kids instead of being such a cheapskate stiiff.

Yeh, Steerforth, ammend that or you's goin' ta heck quick!

Really, I can assure you that I have dome the same...well, USED to. Back in the 80's and early 90's it seeemed you could get a lot more for used systems then now; I have sold a LOT of systems bacause I is poor and that was the only ways ta buy the NEXT system (I got $200 for a Sega Cd + 4 games, for instance)... some systems I bought back when they were cheaper but some I forever lost (Never got another Sega CD, and I got a Vectrex but the used one doesn't work). In MORDERN times, I agree with you, give them as gifts. When I got my DS I gave my GBA-SP to a freind who wanted a gameboy for years but couldn't afford it....while I lost my ability to play old GB games, I was rewarded with someone giving ME a PS2 not long ago. What goes around..!
