Tommorrow EBgames and gamespot will have its buy 2 get 1 free sale on used games.   This includes Wii 360 and PS3 games.   Also, even though the sign says not available with any other offer, I know the computer will allow you to use the savers card.   So if you can get an employee to scan your card, you can get games 3 games for the price of 2, plus an additional 10 percent off.   So that is about 43 percent off used games when you add it up.   I know the critic just bought a Wii, so this would be a great time to get some games.

I went over to gamestop.com to check out their prices on used Wii games. Does anyone else find it funny that they sell Wii Play used (game only) for $29.99.

thats gamEBstop for you, overcharging for recently released used games, and having little common sense on pricing beyond what is printed on the new price tag

and not to rain on the parade, but the percentage saved with the offer will vary depending on the costs of the three games purchased. if all three games have the same value and you use the 10% discount, you end up saving 40% total not 43% (you cant add percentages). and this goes down if there is any variance in price in your three titles.

Cool, this is a great time to stock up on scratched-up games with no instructions!

I always check my disks when I buy them.   All of the games I got had instructions and cases in great shape.  If they give a scratched up disc, I ask them to get another one.

So all the games I got where in great condition, you just have to be insistent.  Overall, I spent less than I would have online.

I realise now why people don't like to go to EBgames.  YOu are right, it can be hard to find a game in good condition.  and they do overprice some things.

30 dollars for Wii play, that is stupid.   Its even worse at Gamecrazy, where it was 42 used.  I assumed at that price it came with a remote, and was shocked when it didn't.   But if you look around like I did, you can find some good prices, on games in excellent condition.   I agree, it does suck having to remove those labels.  SO I guess you can say, this sale is probably the cheapest way to get Wii Games right now, but it requires a bit of patience.  This sale may not be for everyone, as Gamespot/EBgames has some of those problems that people have mentioned.

And the guy who said it's 40 percent and not 43 percent savings, he is right.  I did my math wrong, I assumed because they were saving on different things, they were "stackable" but I did my math completely wrong.  Sorry about that. But it would be more savings than 40 percent though off new, considering that the used games are generally 10-20 percent off new games(which is a ridiculously overpriced price by default)  I won't try to figure out how much total savings that is, because Im not good at that.
