Glad you are keeping it Ken!
To anyone who thinks about selling stuff: remember, most of us go through phases where we are interested in specific systems. Right now I am into Xbox and PS2 'cause I recently got those systems and / or games for them. But 3 months ago I was playing Genesis and 3 months before that 7800. I doubtless will play them again.
There are only 3 reasons to dump a system, IMHO: A) You have 3 or more versions of the system (one as backup) B) it is broken beyond YOUR ability to repair it or C) someone offers an insane amount of money (like $2,000 for a 2600!) and you know you can get a replacement much cheaper. If it doesn't meet these criterea, PACK IT, but KEEP IT!!!

I actually love my genesis sports section! All the nice white packages in a row! With my EA 4-way play (it the white box) at the end. The Genesis was known for its gripping sports action. I want to play homage to that. Plus NHL 97, c'mon, SO much fun to play!

Sell it or Save it?
Till this day I regret selling my C-64 and my hundreds (if not thousands) of games back in 1991. Don't sell unless you are desperate for cash.

As a gamer - I agree - keep them.
As a collector - if you are a little short on $ right now, drop me a line and I'll give you a great deal
Definitely take the 'gamer' advice - I'm cheap
