The funny thing about this thread is that everyone has a different pick. There have been a lot of Star Wars games, no doubt.

I haven't played a PC game in ages but I do remember absolutely loving Tie Fighter and X-Wing.  Both had amazing books that came with each that told a really gripping tale that complimented each game nicely.  Does anyone know if PC Games still do that or was that just kind of a special "we love our gamers" treatment they did back then.  On second thought those inch thick books may have been the strategy guides but all in all they made for a way more robust experience.

On to the subject matter at hand...

Rogue Squadron 2
KOTOR
Tie Fighter

All tie for best games for me in the Star Wars mythos.  My movie choices follow in line with m0zarts.

Empire Strikes Back
Return of the Sith
New Hope
Return of the Jedi
Clone Wars
Phantom Menance

Oh, the Grand Admiral Thrawn novels all rocked like a Guitar Hero on Expert mode.

Okay, now that I've watched all six films within the last week, here are my rankings.  Keep in mind that I really enjoyed them all.

1. Attack of the Clones
This one had three of my favorite scenes: the downtown chase at night, the battle between Jango Fett and Obi Wan (in a thunderstorm!), and the arena fight with the three monsters.

2. Revenge of the Sith
General Grevious was awesome - wished he stuck around longer.  I thought the emperor was a bit over the top.  Climax between Anakin and Obi Wan was good.

3. A New Hope
The best acting and dialogue of any of the movie.  That cantina scene still ranks as one of the best.

4. Empire Strikes Back
Somewhat overrated, although the battle on Hoth does kick ass.  The Yoda parts were slow.

5. Phantom Menace
Darth Maul rules, and I love the waterfall landscapes of Naboo.  Also liked Qui-Gon as the outlaw Jedi.  Young Anakin was not convincing.

6. Return of the Jedi
This was far too lighthearted and whimsical.  Han had no edge, and did nothing but crack one-liners the whole time.  The tension of the final battle was ruined by those damn Ewoks.

Am I right or am I right??

By the way, there's a rumor going around that Lucas is going to make two more Star Wars movies, but with totally different characters.

Nope, but that's ok.  After all, you exposed your reasons, and they weren't dismissible, even though I don't really agree with most of them.

Some of the things I do agree with are that the Darth Maul scene at the end of TPM, and the chase scene near the beginning of AOTC, are some of the best action scenes in any Star Wars film.

I think the Yoda scenes in ESB are also awesome, and not too long at all.  If anything, they were too short for me.  They really helped establish the Force as a believable religio-philosophy.  I also thought the scenes with Palpatine in ROTS were some of the best in the movie.  It was nice to see this political diplomat that we all knew was going to become the Emporer gradually show his true colors, and the actor Ian McDiarmid did it so well.  I also LOVED having Palpatine turn saber-expert, almost as much as I did Yoda becoming one.  In the original trilogy, both Yoda and Palpatine seemed like the embodiments of the two sides of the force, and so they both almost seemed "above" lightsaber combat, somehow.  It was nice to see in the prequel trilogy that they were both trained in more than just the philosophical side of their respective sides of the Force.

There was a rumor started on TheForce.net one time about two movies like that.  One of them was supposed to be based on Darth Bane, the Sith who started the cult of two structure for the Sith.  The other one was unmentioned.  Since a book came out recently for Darth Bane's story, it's possible.  However, Lucas apparently confirmed that those rumors were built off of the then-unannounced Star Wars live-action TV series, which will be made into four-episode serials, and cover many characters that are not the focus of the films.  I still like to entertain the idea though, as a movie about Darth Bane would kick much ***.

LOL. Attack of the Clones number 1 and Empire Strikes Back number 4? That's why I love you, Critic. You are one hilarious guy.
