Spy Hunter on Consoles

One of my favorite games from the arcade was/is Spy Hunter.  Playing it at home has been a mixed bag.  The NES version is charming, but is very far removed from the source material.  The C-64 version came the closest of any I've seen, though I've heard good things about the ColecoVision version.

I was thrilled when the Williams Collection came out on the PS1, including Spy Hunter.  But there are some inaccuracies.  The water flashes between two shades of blue and the tire shredders don't have the sound effect (well, the sound effect IS there, but it's incredibly low).  Does anyone else have this going on (flashing blues) or is it my TV settings?

Has Spy Hunter been emulated on another system more accurately?

I've found no faults with it on Midway Arcade Treasures. That's the best home version out there.

If you have a Colecovision, you will NOT be dissapointed by that game! Every little detail, right down to the peter gunn theme is included. I have a MIB copy and it's one of my favorite CV games. I guess the 2600 is good for that system too, considering the limitations.
