I can't find the request thread anywhere so I decided to start a new one.  I have one: Drake of the 99 Dragons for the XBox.  You'll add another F- to the collection methinks.

Without digressing into a huge list of RPG's, I can say for certain that I want The Critic to review the following:

Starfox Adventures (Gamecube)

Gameboy Camera (Gameboy original)

Doom (Gameboy Advance)

Why would dave want to review a game he knows is gonna be a F- game from the start?

But I will add some games he doesn't have that I think are A or B games.

Pilot Wings 64 -  The N64 launch game that didn't have a plumber in it, so it was overshadowed.   But its a great game, and I love the mini USA level.

Oddworld - Abe's Oddysee - My favorite PS1 game. It just has amazing style and the puzzle based prince of Persia gameplay rocks.  I think its better than prince of Persia, and it certainly looks better.

Actually, reviewing a game that is considered an F by most is really an advantage. If he just reviewed stuff that was considered good, this site would have no point, and he would be no different than myself.

I don't consider myself anything more than an amatuer reviewer because I don't seek out things I don't consider "semi sure things," at least the games I buy, anyway. Dave's a pro (even if it isn't his day job) because he reviews stuff that he basically knows is going to be crap, as well as what is supposed to be good.

Besides, this is where he has the biggest chance to make a wave: saying a game considered terrible by IGN is a B game gets people's attention. I know the reviews I've done here usually get more attention if I either:

Give a game considered great a less than steller review

Give a game not highly regarded a high grade (check out the Brain Age thread, for instance).

I don't know, but Drake has a 20 percent at gamerankings.  http://www.gamerankings.com/htmlpages2/589806.asp?q=drake

That puts it in the same category with other "winners" like Superman 64 and Big Rigs.  I know every once in a while the critics will screw up and give a great game a 60-70 percent average (See Neo Contra).   But if they give a game a 20 percent average after several reviews, its probably for a good reason.   If Dave wants to review every game ever, he could pick it up,  but  I  think of hundreds of games that would deserve a review first.

I'll second that. I don't know why everyone hates Abe's Exoddus so much. I think that game is just as good as the original.

I like to give bad games a chance too: carmageddon 64, Rampage, Olympic videogames, Spiderman 3. Sometimes there good like the olympics, sometimes their not as horrible as they say - carmageddon and then there's the games ign and thr like hit the nail right on the head in being horrendous - spiderman 3. So glad I rented it (who pays $49.99 for a PS2 game at this stage?) though I wish I didn't at all given the ridiculous rental rates $9.99 for a week. Fine if the game is great but really bad if a game sucks and you don't want to play the game anymore with 4 days remaining that you paid for.
