Early picks for Game of the Year 2007
I was joking, though it is one of my most anticipated games this year. It'll be interesting to see which of the 'big boys' being relesed this Fall will live up to the hype, as one of them will almost certainly win the top spot, even if they have all been done before. These awards are kind of a sham that way, the same types of games and franchises are always nominated, there are few surprises.
Was Wii Sports up for the running last year? It sure should get some consideration this year regardless, due to its uniqueness, fun factor, mainstream appeal and influence, and having the most fun training mode ever devised for a game. I will grant it is a little thin in some areas, (but not in gameplay, just modes of play), but it is a consice game, and tight as a fist. It is the face of the Wii, and the Wii is currently the face of the industry.
