Another irritating difference is the charges are not compatible.

Are you serious? That's so stupid! If the GBA charger is compatible with the DS fat, then they surely didn't need to change it for the lite!

Calm down.  I'm pretty sure they switched to this one because it allows the possibility of a more advanced interface cable, since this plug is the same that is used to both charge and connect things like digital cameras to computers.

More Importantly, I would like to see the US Console Race Statistics.

If I happen to stumble across some US numbers I'll post them, unless they make Nintendo look bad.

Also, I am not surprised the Phat is on the shelves even if people can't find the lites. I have an original, my wife got a lite, and I don't play the phat unless it's on coop. It is a big POC compared to the lite, the screen seem BLACK after you are used to the lite. The buttons are maybe a little more comfortaable, and it looks way cooler. You would have thought these 2 peices of hardware launched 15 years apart, instead of 2 years.

Not that I'm arguing or anything but how on earth did MS sell 2 million units to a console that's not being manufactored or sold anywhere?  I haven't seen an xbox on a shelf in well over a year.  All the retailers just have 360s.  Am I missing something?

I said "the first six months of each console in the US".  This means that it is what the XBOX sold in its first six months, more than five years ago.  It's just an extra comparison.  These sales are not recent.  The value of this kind of comparison is to see the adoption rate of each console in its infancy.

I'm betting on the PS2. I bet that it'll last at least another 6 generations.
