Looking at the Sega Master System, there is no Alex Kidd games at all or even the last U.S. Master System game, Sonic the Hedgehog. Alex Kidd tried to be as successful as Mario. Will there be a review of these games sometime in the future.
Where's Alex Kidd and Master System Sonic?

Where's Alex Kidd and Master System Sonic?
I second the Alex games....although I've only played the Genesis Lost Castle, I always liked Alex! His graphics really outshone Super Mario all the way!
For the SMS sonic though, bartman, just click on the Sega Game Gear Sonic review. I hear they are practically the same game (the game gear and SMS are closeley related).

He has reviewed Sonic for Gamegear, whch is essentially the same game. Although he was very harsh on it, giving it a C grade. The main complaints were that its different to the megadrive version, well I'm glad of that, who wants a cut down version of a megadrive game when you can have one designed make the most of the Master System. I think it makes a perfect accompalice to the 16bit version, and I actually prefer the SMS version myself - I love the jungle levels.
Not having Alex Kidd in Miracle Wolrd, or Shinobi World reviewed in a major over sight, they are two of the best SMS games. You could do with getting some European games too, since Master System totally destroyed Nes here, there were som brilliant games released that you guys in the US didn't get.

Well, the Sonic game is reviewed in the Game Gear section.
Was the first Sonic really the last US Master System game? It was the first of three Sonics here.

It's amazing how machines that failed in the States did so much better overseas! Three of my favorite machines, the Odyssey2, the Sega Master System and the Amiga Computer were mega-popular over there, but sank fast here. In fact, were it not for the foreign market Parker Bros. would likely not have supported the O2 with the great games they did. I was born on the wrong side of the water!

It was indeed, although the US release of Sonic is actually just the European version with an extra barcode (UPC) sticker on it. Bizzarely enough some crazy American collectors actually pay $100 or more for the US version with that extra sticker, it's the most common game here in Europe.
Actually there were 4 sonic games released in Europe for Master System - Sonic, Sonic 2, Sonic Chaos and Sonic Spinball. The first game is the best, and I think the critic would give it a higher score if he played it on Master System, as the gamegears lower resolution, and crappy blurry screen hinder the fun. There was also a fifth game released in Brazil - Sonic Blast, but its pretty awful.
