BOC: Don't go hatin' on the 5200! It had crummy controllers, yes, but it had some fantastic arcade adaptations, some available no where else at the time- Joust, Mario Bros., Qix and Space Dungeon and far more.

In 1982, Colecovision and the 5200 were of about equal popularity but then CV zoomed past in the last quarter and wound up with more games. But that just let me pick up my system for $25 and games for 6.99 each, brand new!

You were probably being sarcastic but lots of systems were less popular, the O2, APF, ChannelF astrocade and arcadia AND YOUR favorite system all are!

You called it right on the sarcasm--I set out to offend no one (here).  But which is "my favorite" system?  I vaccilate between several.

BOC...your "favorite system" is "IWASBEINGSARCASTIC +" ...
you know, the one that never plays right.

Have you ever played the 5200? The games, in many cases, surpass
Atari XE game system quality and come close to the 7800 in graphics (and surpass it in sound) ...besides the controllers Atari made the same mistake Sony is right now, charging too much. The Colecovision was like $180, while the 5200 was $250 or more!
Since CV was also out first, it became the best seller. I love Colecovision, but I love 5200 too...you know, you don't have to MARRY a system, I have a little harem here, I love ALL my sweet 8, 16,32, 64 and 128 bit machines! (though I refuse to french kiss them!)

I looked into buying this prototype last year and the guy wouldn't come off 5G's. I love the 7800, but I wasn't about to bite the bullet on this. I'm glad Mitch did.

The game is not 100% complete, because there is collision detection problem on 1-2 levels, but with the level cheat, you can pretty much play the whole game and beat it.

I think the most interesting aspect of this game is that it uses the Alien Brigade engine. I'm buying one and will review it ASAP on my site.

Ah, yes, the "Iwasbeingsarcastic +," wasn't that backwards-compatible with the "don'ttakeitsoseriously?"
