[QUOTE=Roperious]I wouldn't be trading in My Wii.  Probably 15-12 PS1 Games, 20 PS2 Games, 2-3 Wii games, 1-2 DS games, The PS2 Console and my PS1 console.
Sounds like a lot eh? I don't touch most of the stuff i'm trading in ever though.

Dude, seriously, all those games for 450$? That's highway robbery. Seriously, DON'T EVER trade in games at stores. You're getting scammed. That stuff is worth at least 1500$ if you sell it on your own, probably more.

I'd say only get it right now, only get the PS3  if you want a Blu Ray player.   But there is no way of knowing yet if HDDVD or Blu Ray will win, so that isn't a good enough reason for me, and I dont want to pay an xtra 10 bucks for a blu ray disk over a DVD disc.  Besides you can find the HDDVD addon for about 140 bucks for 360 if you look around enough.  (some say if youre lucky you can find it at Sams club for under 100 but I really dont care about it)

I'd say right now you'd be better getting a 360.  It's 200 bucks less, but its almost as powerful (infact ram wise it has more power) and it has awesome games.   Dead Rising, Gears of war, Ghost Recon, Oblivion (well this game is also on PS3, but dont forget its 200 more) and Earth Defense are awesome games.   Its certainly a better value right now.  Not saying the PS3 wouldnt be worth buying some day, but I'm waiting until it comes down in price and gets more games.  Is it really worth 600 for Motorstorm, Resistance, and a bunch of xbox 360 ports that are of lesser quality than the 360 version?

The only action my PS3 has been getting is when I wipe the dust off of it every few weeks.  I can't believe how lame that thing is. I have people over all the time, and nobody wants anything to do with it.  They all want to play the Wii.

Does your 360 get any action. I'm just asking because I know you just got the Wii.

Now Dave, let's be fair - we do like to see Motor Storm thrown up for a race or two from time to time.  We'd probably like to see it even more if they had bothered to include multiplayer split screen.  Aside from that though, yeah, it's all Xbox 360 and Wii (to a lesser extent, at least for me).

[QUOTE=Superjay]I would never consider it unless I could get it for $400.

Well, maybe it's time to come down to Glen Burnie, Maryland, then.  Power Gamer, a really good video game store in the area, is selling the 20 gig PS3 for $400 and the 60 gig one for $500.  Now if only there were more good, exclusive games to play on it, maybe I'd go for it.

Critic have you gotten MLB 07: The Show yet?  If it wasn't for that great game I would be in the same boat as you.  Its one of my favorite baseball games.  I can't believe I am just finding out about this series now.

If I could get the 20g for 400. I would definitely bite on it. I would then get Resistance and..................................... wait for Heavenly Sword. Maryland is to far dude. I live in Queens, NY... That's a great price Power Gamer must be having a hard time selling them. Yeah I know everybody must have a hard time selling them.

Because of high cost + not enough games I wanted, I didn't get a PS2 or Xbox until the current gen. Yet I got tired of my PSone too. So I got a Saturn.

Have you thought about that? Instead of wiping out your game collection (you WILL want them again some day, I know, I've done that lots of times and regretted it), get an older system you never had. How about Dreamcast? Or even Sega Master System? Hell, I'm SURE you've never played the amazing Channel F!

Funny. I'm growing kinda of my PS2 and Saturn, so I'm finally considering getting a Dreamcast.
