PS3 Remote Question...

Hey gang,

Anyone out have a PS3 remote?  I was going to get one, but then saw something somewhere that said you have to have a fairly recent system update for the thing to work.  WTF?  Now, I know what you're thinking...why don't you just hook your PS3 up to that new-fangled thingy called the 'internets' and download the update.  Well, here's a shocker, I don't have broadband at home...I use a (mumbles in shame) modem.  You know, the thing that plugs into your phone jack.  While I'm in a confessin' mood, I also don't have cable TV...I use an antenna...with my HDTV.  I'm the most technologically advanced borderline-Amish person I know...

Anyways, what's up with the PS3 remote?

I can't help you with the remote(sorry), but I can make you feel better about being "Amish"....I have only a DIAL-UP modem, no cable TV OR Antenna (I buy shows on DVDS and tape them on that thing you used to call a "VeeCeeAre" at a freinds place), AND I have neither HDTV or plasma, my last set was bought over 8 years ago. It's 31 inch, but I don't play my games on it anyway. I have a small 13 inch for old school Atari, INTV, etc.. games and a composite monitor for PS2/Xbox.

Someday I'll get that stuff you call "Munny" and upgrade!
