The Simpsons went south for me about halfway through season 10.
Why does everyone hate modern Simpsons? I think it is quite good. While the old seasons were better, I have seen maybe about 5 episodes over the course of the series that I didn't like. Hands down my fave show!
I will see the movie at least 5 times in theaters. Never in my life have I cared so much about a movie. I am probably gonna paint myself yellow and spike my hair for the opening to look like (a slightly older) Bart. I'm not kidding.
Simpsons forever!

I so want a picture! If you post it I'll even use it as my xbox live picture for everyone to enjoy.
True, The Simpsons are more just chaotic than anything else these days but on occasion we're graced with a good episode. I really liked the 24 episode; while the one that followed it was absolutely terrible, so, flip a coin. All in all I'm catching the movie on the opening day too (just in my pale white boy look and not the highlighter yellow that reaks of awesomeness)
...again, need a pic of your daring do

I always wondered this about the SIMPSONS: Why are they YELLOW? I'd get it if EVERYONE were yellow, but Barts freind Milton is WHITE, the doctor is BLACK, and the slurpee store owner (Haji?) is obviously Latino. So, what are The Simpsons? Japanese/Chinese? Are they stereotypes!?
I'm probably one of the few that preffered Matts G.'s earlier cartoon work, LIFE IN HELL. That was funnier.

He's not Latino. He's Indian (as in, from India).
And yes, his accent is a stereotype. And a danged funny one at that!

Yipes... sorry I've been missing out on this one. Cartoons are a pretty big part of my life... perhaps more so than games.
I'll try and hit all the points I can in one mega post!
As far as contemporary cartoons are concerned (still being made in the last 5 or so years). The only one I care for is Futurama. Family Guy was funny for a little while but its just a little too formulaic and you can see every joke coming a mile away.
The Simpsons just lost its spark.... it went with Groening along with the fact that the show has done everything it possibly can. It even sounds like the voice actors are bored sometimes. How many times can you say D'oh convincingly?
Everything on Adult Swim begs the question is this in fact animated? (With few exception) Aqua Teen is the only thing I can stomach that has limited animation on that block of tv.
The Venture Bros... I almost forgot about them. They're ok.. not great but ok. Everything else that is actually animated on that program suffers from Family Guy Syndrome. Robot Chicken I'm looking at you.
The Boondocks plain old offends me. The biggest reason being... how can a show be about African Americans when almost every single character looks like a white guy with a tan and an afro?
Really not too much on tv interests me these days. Hopefully Adult swim will have some good sense to pick up Korgoth and run with it. I really liked the pilot episode.
John K. is a pretty interesting dude. He did some great stuff in his younger days but just can't seem to get it together anymore. The new Ren and Stimpy is awful. If you haven't seen it yet, don't. Do yourself a favor go out and by the first and second seasons on DVD and be done with it.
Whatever spark he had he just doesn't have it anymore. I suspect its because he wasn't solely responsible for Ren and Stimpy. Bob Camp had a lot to do with the program. Some times putting some restraints on an artist isn't necessarily a bad thing. My hat is still off to him though as he still did something pretty great and likes to impart his knowledge to the younger generation.
Oh and whoever posted that 12 ounce mouse thing... I hate you.

The sushi place guys are Japanese, and their skin color is dim yellow.

Perhaps that would be because Seth Green, co-founder of Robot Chicken, does the voice of Chris Griffin on Family Guy.

A) "The slurpee store" is Kwik-E-Mart, and they are a convenience store, not a slurpee store, although they do sell the famous Slurpee.
B) Haji? His name is Apu Nahasapeemapetilon.
And yes, to the above guy (sorry, I forgot which one you were. m0zart, maybe?), "24 Minutes" was awesome, but I kinda liked "You Kent Always Say What You Want". But, I'm a Kent Brockman fan.

I was referring to ActRaiser (sorry 'bout the mix-up). Speaking of season 18, I think the best episodes from it were, 24 Minutes, Please Homer Don't Hammer 'Em, Little Big Girl, Marge Gamer (Best of the season, IMO, and one of my all-time favorites), and Crook and Ladder.
BTW, I think I've seen nearly every episode of the show. I have seasons 1-9 (the only ones currently avalible) on DVD, and have been watching since Season 9 on TV, anyway.

The person who makes that show is black, so you can't be offended by it because it seems like a white person trying to reference black culture. I think I'm in the minority here; I find the Boondocks hilarious.

What I've seen of it was okay.
