Super Paper Mario: Sammer Guy Showdown

I just wanted to make a comment after my last few hours of SPM.  This game just keeps piling on the craziness.  Is there any other game in the world that requires you to defeat 100 mini-bosses in succession in a tournament style situation without dying?  Especially a platformer like this?  I just think the variety this game has is great.  Kudos to Intelligent Systems and Nintendo.

Hmm. Hate to ruin this for you Paul but you don't actually have to beat all 100. It stops at around 20.

That's weird, cause it didn't mention that on some of the other sites that talked about it.  I'll be playing it today and I'll check it out.

After you beat the game, you can go back and do the full 100 man battle.

I keep hearing this talk about only having to beat 20 guys in the 1st go round.  Thats bull.  I had to fight 100 guys the FIRST freakin time through.

That's weird. Do you live in the US? Maybe it's different for different regions.

I haven't played the Wii version, but in the Gamecube Paper Mario, you have to enter a wrestling tournament and beat at least 20 guys in a row.

RAWK HAWK!!! That was a fun part of the game, Dennis.

Not hating on SPM, but I really enjoyed the 1000 Year Door a lot more, I think SPM lost too much RPG and picked up almost zero challenging platfroming. It was obviously built around the 2-d/3-d concept, which was interesting, but not enough for my tastes. SPM had its moments though, I ain't saying it sucked.

The old SPM's really made every fighting move fun, more than just select and tap, and they were pretty deep as well. Surprising how good an RPG you can make from Mario.
