E-BAY problems
Ok, the seller who posted that we buyers are A-holes (I am a confirmed B-hole thankyouverymuch!) did NOT point out in their accounts that I understood the sellers original concearn and it was agreed he could ship to my freind, the SAME address on the paypal account. So why wouldn't he? We are not talking about a $500 rare game here, we are talking a used, incomplete $12 O2 system! Are you sure this isn't just a case of which side of the fence you are on? I'm sure the world is full of jerks and you could lose money either way, but lets leave out the blanket condemations (if a small brown dog bites you, that obviously means every small brown dog in the world is dangerous,etc..)
I still side with whoever said, they didn't get enough to bother shipping the system, so they backed out. Doesn't mean ALL sellers are bad- I got a GBA game much this same way a year ago, it worked out fine-but not all BUYERS are bad either!
Okay, not all buyers are bad; about one in five. But that's still pretty terrible. I've had so many people either try to scam me, not pay, or just plain didn't know how to work eBay. eBay and PayPal policies are totally set up to favor the buyer over the seller.
And a small, $12 system is PERFECT for scamming. Small enough to not get a lot of attention, but to stand out enough to get your money back. Pretty much all you have to do is get a seller without any kind of tracking and claim you never received it. PayPal will side with you every time. That's why I put delivery confirmation on every item I ship out.
I'm talking as a seller, but I do FAR more buying on eBay than selling, so I know the buyer's side too. I just sell duplicates/stuff I don't want so I can afford the stuff I do.
