New PS3 Controller?

I was just reading my PSM magazine (dedicated to all things Playstation), and it was interesting.  Despite maintaining an optimistic tone, they are pretty up-front about how bad Sony has F'ed up everything over the past year or so. 

On article discussed the rumored new PS3 controller, and diagrammed what they thought it should look like.  Wouldn't you know - it looks exactly like the Xbox 360 controller - except it was black!

Doesn't the deluxe 360 ($470 version, whatever it's called) come with a black 360 controller?

Two questions:

1. Is the Sixaxis technology still going to be in there?
2. Did they mention anything about vibration support?

I actually liked the look of boomerang controller. Maybe they should have just released one with the system simply for the sake of being original. Then offer what is now known as the six-axis, as an option for those who have grown attached to it. Or better yet, just sell an adapter that let's you use your PS2 controller on the PS3?

Either way, it was a terrible launch. And all the hype and trash-talking manufactured by all the great people over at Sony certainly didn't help matters any. I mean, c'mon.. "The next generation of gaming doesn't start until we say it does?" Get over yourselves. All you've got is a glorified version of an XBOX 360.
