hi there
IGN is our savior.
Now all we need is everyone else to rise up and destroy the $ maker that is Pokemon.

Make no mistake, however: Bozon could have said this for his review:
"I knew this might be a stripped down experience, but this seems extreme: The game only consists of an animated Iwata head in an endless laughing loop."
Oh, and, because this IS an IGN Wii review:
"I couldn't figure out the controls."
The game would still sell a million copies.

Nintendo just doesn't seem to get that even the normal handheld gameplay won't hold up on a home console, let alone the watered down battle crap that they usually push. I got burned on Colosseum, and I haven't gotten a console version since. Nintendo needs to wake up and smell the coffee: a console Pokemon game requires a LOT more work than they've put in recently.

Has anyone played the GBA Pokemon Ruby/Saphire ones? I can get them for 9 bucks, but I'm debating..I like quick games now like MARIOKART, don't have hours anymore. Can you still save? Are they as fun as the first one?

Oh, Adamant, I know you hate me and think I'm a moron, but I own and like Pokemon Channel and Dash. Dash is mediocre. Probably the worst Pokemon game, but I still got a lot of fun out of it. And although it's short and has little to no replay value, I love Pokemon Channel, and consider it to be one of the most underrated games on the Gamecube.

[QUOTE=Alienblue]I played the first Pokemon on my old Gameboy color (in black and white, Pokemon blue) MANNNY years ago. I kinda sorta got into it, enough to get the guide.

Trust me, Dave. They are so worth it. I do however reccommend Emerald more, if you can get it. Saving is still an option. (Trust me, you WILL need it.), and they are MORE fun than the originals. But, I must warn you: DO NOT PICK THE BERRIES. Something awful happens to your game if you do. That's a crappy glitch in R+S.

Also, I'm having my first kid soon, and my *hope* is that I can avoid infatuations with annoying things like the Pokemon cartoons by not having anything like that around to influence them with (-:
