Another thing to remember is that correlation doesn't prove causation. Maybe innately violent people tend to be drawn to violent entertainments, rather than the entertainment itself making anyone more violent.

Entertainment easy to blame on?
This could easily spawn a bunch of different arguments, but I firmly believe that the people of America have a long history of not wanting to own up to their own faults, and I really think that this is even more present today with people blaming the NRA and store owners for selling people guns and ammunition that end up killing people and fast food restaurants for selling them the food that makes them fat.
People are just so afraid to take the heat anymore. They're much rather point the finger at someone or something else for their shortcomings. Because it's easier that way. No confrontation. No anxiety. No damage to their already delicate ego.
