I don't think you can download games on them at all.
You can't directly download games, but as m0zart and I said (I'm not implying you ignored it; I imagine you posted while mine was pending approval. I merely feel the need to reiterate), you can put the games on the SD card as backup. It really isn't necessary to do that though, since you can delete VC games to make room and then re-download them for free. The SD card is good for music in Excite Truck, the photo channel, and, hopefully, future features will be added.

I think a better question would be.. What is the point in even buying a Wii?! haha
After spending all day putting a slide show together of my disney world trip for my kids on it, downloading my own bands songs to listen to as I play Excite Truck, playing Actraiser, Military Madness, Super Paper Mario, and utilizing the Everybody votes channel with my wife before a rousing game of Wii Bowling... I have no clue. FUNK
BURRRNNN!!!
How is that a burn? All the games he listed aren't that great. And putting a slideshow together??? You certainly don't need a Wii to do that.

The Wii is weak. Just like their last two systems - the N64 and Gamecube.

exactly, the wii is so weak, that sales are through the roof, and modern 'hardcore' gaming is on notice and will likely go the way of the dinosaurs and 2D gaming.
i find the desperation trolling hilarious

The last time I checked, sales didn't determine how great a system is.
The Wii is cheaper and more family-friendly than the PS3 and Xbox 360. You have to remember that. And of course, the fact it has a completely new control scheme is something that indefinitely intriques people. Some hardcore gamers alike.
But how long will the novelty last? How long until all the amazing third-party games start coming out in cloves on the PS3 and 360 and put the Wii's library of lame, kiddy games to utter shame? How long until the people see it for what it really is - a one-trick pony; an interactive Gamecube?

An interactive Gamecube!?!?!?! NOooooooOOOOoooo!!!!!
And whats more, I just checked over my Wii and found an expiration date, the graphics will fail to inspire at 01 01 08.
Time draws short, friends, the Wii is going the way of Furby. Oh, man - you-re right Luke, I hope its not to late to track down a 40 gig PS3......

Hey Luke, tell us that hilarious joke again where you say something about the Wii being pointless and then laugh because it was so clever and underhanded!
Then lets talk about how the Wii just became the ultimate system for FPS after playing RE4 on the Wii, which controls like a keyboard and mouse, therefore leaving the other systems in the dust in the play control department. That leaves graphics as to why the system is weak, and if you think the graphics are somehow horrible, even though they are better than the generation we JUST FINISHED, or that graphics even matter that much compared to play control and fun factor, then you must be new to videogames.

The last time I checked, this is the first year of the Wii and I like it a bunch. In the first year of the 360 there was one game that interested me. The PS3 has still failed to yield that game. I think once the real quality games start rolling out for the Wii, the novelty will just be beginning.

I just realized Luke, THOSE GAMES ARE HORRIBLE!!! I SPENT ALL WEEK PLAYING THEM TOO! OH NO!!!! Please redirect me to the superior 360 and PS3 alternatives, PLEASE!!! I CANT STAND THE MEDIOCRACY ANY LONGER!!!
Why would I want to entertain my children on the family room's TV with their trip to Disney World? How foolish! I guess I'll buy a projector, a slide show thing that we had in school, a giant screen and figure out a way to convert images back to little pictures. I guess you are right.
Anybody want to buy a Wii... CHEAP?

Wow, I didnt know that.
(For Luke) I mean, what an utterly useless option on an utterly useless machine.
(Whew!- I dont want to get laughed at again by that clever and sinister man)
Dude, don't even try to tell me that the Wii has better graphics and sound than the Xbox!
And no, it's not just graphics. It's graphics, sound, gameplay, and overall strength of its gaming library. In which case, the Wii fails every single category. Sure, some of the games may be fun to play right now with the Wiimote and nunchuck. But it's all flash and no substance. The graphics and sound are clearly worse than last generation and the Wii controls are not even 100% responsive!
"Then lets talk about how the Wii just became the ultimate system for FPS after playing RE4 on the Wii, which controls like a keyboard and mouse, therefore leaving the other systems in the dust in the play control department." Um, ever hear of light guns? What you're talking about is nothing new, sir. Go play House Of The Dead or Time Crisis. And Resident Evil 4? Didn't that come out on the Gamecube OVER TWO YEARS AGO??
Then of course you have the new Legend Of Zelda which is virtually just as good if not better on the Gamecube. haha I mean, c'mon.. seriously, be honest with yourselves. What did you really spend $300+ dollars on?
