I've played lots of Day of Defeat since Steam was released, what kind of problems?
Beyond it being a chore to play older releases of Day of Defeat which isn't exactly something many would do, I can't think of any issues I've experienced.

Steam crashing under Vista
[QUOTE=Leo Ames] Sudz, sounds like your cd key was already used. Did you buy it used? A cd key can only be registered to one Steam account. If it was new, I suppose someone could've guessed your code using a cd key generator.

No, I bought my copy brand new from Circuit City back in '99 and never 'lent' it or the key code to anyone. I'm guessing what you said - that someone else guessed my key code by chance or it came up in a key generator program someone else was using. The end result though is ironically the exact OPPOSITE of what Valve is trying to prevent! Someone is illegally playing their game for free while a paying customer is prevented from using the game he paid money for. Thus, I will never give them a dime of my money again until they stop being so anti-customer and will actually consider playing pirated copies of Valve games in the future instead of spending my own money (which they have taught me will only come back to bite me on the butt later). I really hate to say that because I believe game piracy is absolutely wrong but I also believe that them "stealing" my money is just as wrong and that they owe me.
