The Video Game Critic

I heard a rumor that Capcom with be re-releasing Street Fighter 2 this fall with HD quality graphics and smoother animation.  I'm intrigued.  Anybody else heard about this?

the king of fighters neo wave (released on xbox) had fantastic animation, capcom fighters are long overdue for the same makeover

I heard about it, too. But jeez.. how many times are they going to keep re-hashing Street Fighter 2!? I mean, c'mon.. the game is over fifteen years old now. Time to get on with it, man!

I think this is different than just a rehash.  More like an up-to-date remake of a classic, using today's technology.  If they were just re-releasing the same game with a few new characters and a built-in turbo mode like they always used to do, then I would agree with you.

I personally think that they should do a remake of Street Fighter 1... there's a reason that everyone remembers the sequel!
