System Census, Failure Rates.
Ive had an odd problem on my XBOX (not 360)...at times when it is normally plugged in and NOT playing a game...the CD drive opens itself and the only way to close it is via the power button on the bottom...has anyone heard of this? I find it odd....it plays games fine...but I always unplug the power cord so it doesnt open itself up which annoys me when I try to sleep and the xbox is making noise opening itself up...if anyone has ANY idea what the heck is going on that would be great....

My first bad 360 would do the same on occassion. It wasn't all that often though. It locking up on me was the more prevalent problem. That and eventually not reading a 360 disk as a 360 disk but as a dvd. Then when it would start to "play" the 360 as a movie you'd get an error message saying the disk needed to be inserted into a 360. I really should have taken a picture as it was the most hilarious error message I've seen in awhile.
