Do you think it would be possible to utilize a Massive-like engine for artificial intelligence?  It would make enemies look unique as well as give them some actual brains.

(For those who don't know, Massive is the crowd/soldier simulator first used in the Lord of the Rings movies).

Sounds a bit like the faces in Oblivion.  I think just randomized folks to give everyone unique characteristics.  In Oblivion they also had the AI do all the pathing for all the NPCs.

Got any good examples of what you're thinking?

Well, the Massive program mapped out intelligence for each individual soldier (call them "agents" or NPC's, whatever).  Using a program called "Orc Builder", each individual agent had their own unique stance, attack style, weapon, arm length, facial complexion, walking technique, speed etc.  They also reacted to sounds and if overwhelmed they would retreat.  I think it would be cool if games could randomize respawning enemies.
