Killzone 2 Best at E3?

Postby JustLikeHeaven1 » July 11th, 2007, 10:18 am

Sony held a private party showing off Killzone 2 and impressions have been very favorable.  For those of you who read Kotaku, Brian Crecente said that it looks like the most impressive game of E3 already.  I tend to really trust what Crecente says, so this comes as a big surprise to me.

Here are some links for impressions and a new trailer...

I'm still a tad skeptical, but I'm actually sort of excited by this title now.

I'm still cynical about the fake pre-rendered trailer they showed at E3 2005...

I watched the video. The graphics are good but are not going to blow anybody away. The intro looks cool but since the graphics really aren't the showpiece anymore we have to see if they add any cool gameplay additions perferably with the six axis controller (that have to use that gimick for something after all) Hopefully the story is hot so as to keep you interested.

Actually several sources are claiming that the graphics are almost on par with 2005 pre rendered trailer.  I read one preview on IGN and the person didn't realize that the beginning part of this trailer was in-game graphics.  I think its tough to judge how the graphics look in an online trailer because they will certainly look much better on a HDTV in your house.  From what I've read the lighting effects are some of the best ever seen in a game.

I never played the first Killzone so I don't know much about these games, but this looks pretty good so far.

Killzone on PS2 was probably the best FPS on the PS2.  It was a rotten multiplayer though!
