No.  They sort of made it clear that their debut together would be in the game Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games.

Hey, I got my wish!

Man that is sinister of SEGA and Nintendo, and yet so predictable. Brawl will sell no matter what, this will maybe help Olympic's sales, or else set up some fan backlash.

Plus its a resaon to build another Smash Bros, - you wanted Sonic, well he'll be in the next game.

I gotta say, after seeing the Wii conference, I do not like the thought of gaming going mainstream.    It's beginning to appear that gaming being for young males helped kept games for the most part of a high quality nature with deep gameplay.   But all the new games they showed appeared to gimmicky shallow games, designed for soccer moms.   I hope Wii Fit is not the future for Nintendo, but they spent about 40 percent of their conference talking about it.

I'm just glad that Metroid Mario and and Smash Bros are coming out this year, but they played second fiddle to games designed for soccer moms at the conference.   I hope this doesn't mean that Nintendo is gonna spend less time making awesome adventure games for the core audience in favor of more gimmicky stuff like Wii fit and minigame collections to capture the masses.  But in contrast, I was very pleased with the 360 and PS3 conferences where they showed tons of awesome games.

You know the Wii system is going to crash... All the thrive off of is new variations of controllers... It is basically turning into some home arcade system... =( I'd rather stick to the old arcades... Nothing like going to the arcade with your buds and having a blast with MK. Yes, Wii is fun, but it just doesn't have the power to play any high-graphic games. It will be cool if Microsoft & Nintendo teamed up into making a high powered console with all sorts of funky controllers. It will be fun playing GoW with all sorts of custom Wii controllers. Then again, what is never going to happen.

Reggie: No Wii Fit For US This Year, Japan Only

By Chris Kohler

Just had a very brief chat with Reggie about Wii Fit. Not worth transcribing in its entirety right now, but the big news is that it's not hitting the US this year. It'll be out in Japan though. Reg says they're still doing research into the cost of the Wii Balance Board controller, but it'll cost more than your typical 50 dollar Wii game.

Whats Guitar Hero cost, $70? I reckon that's what were looking at here. Maybe I'l EBAY my bathroom scale to raise some cash......

Hey Paul! I always liked you, and I hate to say it, you are right (choice A), but man go easy on the guy. He's kinda stupid about video games, but he's my best friend. He's kinda as misinformed as I was when I started out here... a total graphics whore n00b. Now I'm an intelligent gamer/ human being. I think we should be correcting him instead of insulting him. One of us! One of us!

And the Big N's conference was super!

These threads get weirder and weirder by the day.

Anyway, to address one of the non-weird posts for a second:

I am willing to live in a world that has Wii Fit as long as it also has Metroid Prime 3, Mario Galaxy, SSBB, and Umbrella Chronicles.

I don't see "casual" replacing "hardcore." This looks more like something being added to, not replacing, the current scene.

Koopa : Good cop

Mephisto : Bad cop

They have a classic vaudeville routine going.
