Ok. I'll start with the negatives first then the positives. Overall I think Nintendo did really good. Definetly a step up from Microsoft's press conference

Negatives: Wii wheel that they are releasing looks exactly the same as the one packaged with 4x4 racing. They said they are going to revolutionize the FPS then they show some ugly looking Call of Duty game. Vote for my Wii didn't entice me at all. I could care less what other people think about my Wii's. Last thing is Soul Caliber Legends. I love Soul Caliber but I was really disappointed with the way it plays. I want to really wield a sword not do predetermined moves ala Pirates of the Caribbean. The graphics looked fine.

Positives: The Wii Zapper holds both your wiimote and nunchuk attachment and is perfect  for UMbrella cronicles . More good news is that Metroid, Smash Brothers and Super Mario Galaxies is all coming out before the holiday season. Now to the good stuff and what made this conference better. Wii is finally going online. No hell hasn't frozen over they are starting this year with Fifa and Madden. Mari Kart Wii is coming out early next year and its going to be online......Yeahhhhhh finally. Now for the best part of the conference. Wii Fit. It looks like it measures your weight but it can also determine how you are positioning your body and shifting your weight. There are over 40 minigames. Can losing weight actually be fun. We will have to wait and see on that one. Best new announced game by far.

Overall I was kind of disappointed overall with all the conferences. I never got super excited about anything. I wonder if this is the result of making E3 so much smaller while cutting out some of the 3rd parties from the show floor.

I thought Sony's presentation was the best overall, though most of the games they highlighted were not coming out until 2008.

I also like the redesigned PSP, and I like that it allows you to play directly to your TV instead of on the handheld -- which is usually how I do it already with a Nyko adapter.

Eh I can't really agree with that.  The Wii Wheel they showed is smaller, and more compact, which seems to make it easier to access important buttons while you are using it to steer.  That was my one major gripe about the wheel released with those two Ubisoft games.  So I am actually looking forward to getting this new wheel, and since it is coming free with Mario Kart Wii (which is itself going to be online enabled), I think it's more of a bonus for those who buy that than a peripheral people will have to buy separately.
