As far as I know, no series has been milked more than Street Fighter.
Bomberman. More than half his games are just the same game with different graphics and bosses. Maybe a new monster and powerup if you're lucky.

Galaxy doesn't look like it has hardly anything in common with Super Mario 64 besides the Mario name, I'm puzzled why some think it has a lot in common with it. If I felt it did, I'd be all over it since Super Mario 64 was great.
As far as I can see, the only thing I've seen in many videos from Super Mario 64 was one butt stomp. Most of the game involves waving the Wiimote around and blasting around on little planets not much bigger than Mario.

Again, if I had a Wii, Mario Galaxy would be high on the list. But look closer at the videos. He runs the same, sound effects are the same, butt stomp, triple jump all identical to mario 64. They could have changed the animations for this game the way super mario world animations are all new to the nes games.

Wow, I think I'll pass on this game because the animations on the main character aren't different enough, and he uses the same "woohoo" sound.
Aren't we being a little picky here?

Pointing out features. The first lines from my posts are saying I would buy the game immediately if I had a Wii. These forums would be barren if we didn't talk about structure or features of games.

Leo, after watching the Bee Suit Mario vid from Galaxy, it almost brought a tear to this old gamer's eye. This game, to me, is shaping up to be something really special, moreso than Sunshine! Many of you may remember the first time you played Super Mario Bros. and gawked at how cool it was to squash that first goomba and hit the blocks and then, later down the road, how cool it was getting the different suits in SMB3. This game looks like it may make space as cool to explore as the Mushroom kingdom. They're making it look very fast-paced, unique, and without the gimmick of a stupid water pack that you have to keep filling up every two friggin' minutes!! I say, this is THE game, for me, in 2007!

I'm pumped also. I love the idea of how it is spherical, Miyamoto was talking about how sometimes the spheres become so big in the game that you are suddenly on flat land again, just like on a planet. Very cool stuff.

You know Nintendo has said there will be larger worlds. They just haven't shown them yet. I wouldn't write off the game before you hear more about it.
On a related subject: Does anyone else think Mario Galaxy isn't coming out this year? Metroid is a definite for August 27, and Smash Bros. is confirmed for December 3rd, but nothing has been said about Mario. I think Nintendo is going to delay it again.

I think this looks quite similar to M64 which is good, and yet it has so many new wrinkles it is exciting.
The levels really remind me of M64, even though its in space, just the simple geometry and bright colors really bring it all back.
Mario's animations? Not concerned, hopefully Mario controls like he did in 64 as well.
Also the structure of the game sounds identical to M64. It looks awesome, can't wait to play.
IGN says Metroid is the best FPS for consoles ever, and they had critized earlier builds of this game. Mozart, when you get it, let me know. I like the fact that you can lock on and strafe, and yet still have your gun loose to shoot a different guy if he is in the screen or pinpoit shots on your foe. Also there is voice acting and IGN says it is top notch, which if you put it in a game, it had better be. The best part of Metroid Prime was the architrcture and design of the environments, I guess from what they have seen, be prepared to be impressed again.
Too many good games! Will have plenty to but in 2008,for sure!
