I wasn't saying they're Nazis, you missed the entire point of my post.  I know that the "Pimp my Ride" demographic that I usually see in Gamestop would have trouble grapling with my analogy, but I didn't suspect anyone on this board would.

I think he was kidding. The point of your post was pretty clear cut... but I hope you don't mind that I kicked my old PS2 a couple times when it broke on me.

Whats the backwards compatibility like on the 60GB PS3? Are there any major problems? How do PS1 games play?

My collection of unplayed PS1 and PS2 games is way too big for me to worry about compatibility lists and updates so I just might take the PS3 plunge sooner then I originally intended.

The backwards compatibility on the 60 GB PS3 is practically flawless.  Between my PS1 and PS2 I probably own 150 games.  I haven't run into an instance yet where the game doesn't play.  Also Sony released an update that allows these "heritage titles" to be played in 720p up...They look brilliant on a HD TVs, but on the downside you don't have rumble...it will be there in a few months once the recently confirmed rumble controller comes out on.

If backwards compatibility is a big deal to you, I would get the PS3 60GB before the software emulated 80GB versions hit stores.
