Flea markets RULE!

Postby KanYozakura » July 15th, 2007, 5:26 pm

There's a local flea market that I go to every summer, and man did I score today!  In addition to nabbing awesome Genesis games for $1.50 complete (Genghis Kahn II, Landstalker, Puggsy, etc.), I also got some awesome SNES games (TMNT IV, Biker Mice, Super Turrican, etc.).  But the big score was Metal Slug X for the PS1 NEW and SEALED, for...

FOUR DOLLARS! FOUR FREAKING DOLLARS!

These people are insane...I walked away with a plastic shopping bag full of rare games, and I only spent $50.  Screw a PS3/360; I'm going back with $300 next time to clean them out.

Reminds me of the time I found Gunstar Heroes at a flea market for $4. Congrats on the find, dude.

Ha. I bought a playstation for 5 bucks once. I also saw Wii play for 20 bucks with everything. Sadly I have no Wii.

Flea markets are great; I built my whole Flea circus that way.

Seriously, back when I could travel (we NEVER have them nearby!) I got Gunstar heroes for $2, lotsa other Genny games for the same, SNES games, and old Computers like the Ti/99/4a for five bucks, boxed and complete!

I miss going to our Capital's game store too; I gut lots of my PSX games there including my FAVORITE SINGLE SHOOTER, Rainden Project, mint in case for $5.00!!!! (:

Surprisingly, none.  There were a couple of oddball hicks here and there with about fifty PS2 Madden games, but other than that there was only the one video game stand.  It was mostly just magnetic jewelry, overpriced Breyers, and antique farm equipment.  Kind of a crap heap if you ask me; it's even in a place called Shady Hollows.

I had to cut back this time, but there were a LOT of rare titles that I'm going to pick up in a couple of weeks.  Doomsday Warrior, Pocky and Rocky 2, Total Carnage, Mario Allstars, etc....plus, they'll probably have some new stuff, too.

You mean sealed, right?  I payed, like, $6 canadian for a loose one, back before George Bush destroyed your economy so bad that the Canadian/U.S. difference made that an even better deal than it looks.

As a side note, I don't bother with flea markets anymore.  Not only were they generally over priced, but once it became affordable for me to shop online (again because of the dollar thing), it started to seem like a lot more work with no reward.
