Donkey (and Chunky) are slow, but the other three characters walk at a faster pace. I like DK64 better than Banjo Kazooie. In BK, you had to re-collect some things if you went back to a level, while DK64 saves every single banana so you only have to pick each one up once. And I love the music in DK64.

I loved Banjo Kazooie, and while I didn't initially like Banjo Tooie, I went back to it a few years after I first tried it and saw that it was as great as the first game. Donkey Kong 64 is pretty slow at the beginning, but it picks up a bit. The world is huge, and some of the levels are pretty sweet. I agree that it isn't as great as the Banjo games, but it isn't awful.

Ok, I'll bite. Note that I'm only counting games I purchased, not rented.

Wii:

Cream of the Crop:

Twilight Princess. But all you regulars know how much I love this game. I'm actually going to give it a go for the second time soon, to do all the extra stuff.

Excite Truck. Just a terrific racer! Awesome!

Resident Evil 4: Great, great, great.

Really good, if not totally awesome:

Wii Sports. Great pack in. Don't play as much because I don't get to have friends over as much these days.

SSX Blur. Addictive, fun to play (and challenging!) sports game. Hard to get in the mood for now that it is in the summer, though.

Super Paper Mario. Like all these "Mario RPG" type games, the writing is excellent and the game is fun... but these games sort of lack the "gotta play it NOW!!!" urgency of true classics like Zelda and Resident Evil.

Madden 07. I'm done with it now that Madden 08 is coming out soon. But it was pretty good, and I'm really looking forward to Madden 08 on Wii this year.

Solid, but flawed:

Red Steel. Pretty fun. Sword fighting is actually more enjoyable than some think, especially once you learn the Katas and advanced moves (I think people were dissapointed that it wasn't 1:1 and let this get in the way of their judgement).

Looking to sell: (-:

Elebits. It had its moments, but this is a great example of a game that would have been better had I bought it at launch, when there wasn't other offerings that could have been better. It is mostly killed by its preposterous presentation.

Xbox 360:

Give Bill Gates My Thanks:

Earth Defense Force 2017. Fun fun fun fun FUN!!! What a terrific budget game. But hidden underneath the laughable voiceover work is great level design, amazing graphics (little slowdown, almost zero draw in) and madly addictive co-op gameplay. Perhaps the most fun co-op game since Rogue Squadron II on the Gamecube.

Oblivion. Not everyone likes open ended games, and I am usually somewhat reserved on them.... but not this game. Unlike other open ended titles, you always feel important, and the main quest is well executed with excellent voice acting from Sean Bean.

Fight Night Round 3. Great looking and great playing. Always fun to create boxers of celebrities and pound the crap out of them (-:

Good but not great:

MLB 2k7. Fun to play, deep, but maybe missing a few key features. Looks gorgeous.

Gears of War. Please don't flame me. Again, please don't flame me (-: This is a terrific title, but I'm not really inspired to reply the single player campaign, and the multiplayer is surprisingly lean- and I prefer the lone wolf approach to deathmatch.

teh sux0rs:

Lord of the Rings: Battle of Middle Earth. RTS on a standard def TV? Hmm. Count me out. Played then quickly sold.

Forza 2. This is a really good game........ if you love cars to death, and want a super realistic motorsports game. Otherwise it is dull. Move along, nothing to see here. Please take a dose of Excite Truck or Motorstorm and call me in the morning (-:

OK...here goes my list

Playstation 3

Resistance: Fall of Man - I bought this with my PS3 for $39.99.  It took me a few weeks to play through the single player campaign and the online multiplayer still has me hooked to this day.  Big bang for your buck.

NBA Street: Homecourt -  This game makes a tremendous first impression.  Honestly had there not been a COMPLETE lack of PS3 software I would have never bought this game.  It held my interest for a little while, but eventually it began to collect dust.  I haven't touched this one in a few months.

Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion - I love RPG games, and this is one massive RPG.  For the first couple of weeks I would get home from work and plug away it.  Sadly its a little too big for me.  Eventually I found it's formula wearing thin and it could no longer hold my attention.

Untold Legends: Dark Kingdom - Critic's tore this game a new one.  If I didn't get it on Ebay for $25 I would have never bought it.  This game plays like a next gen version of Gauntlet: The Seven Sorrows.  In case you are wondering that a compliment (I loved that game).  Me and friend played through this game bit by bit.  Sure it had some general flaws and camera issues, but its simple hack n slash brand of gameplay won us over.  It doesn't take too long to finish, and I'm glad I bought it for a dirt cheap price.

Mortal Kombat II - For $4.99 you really can't go wrong with this downloadable classic.  Being able to play lag free matches of MK II was a dream come true for me.  I still play this from time to time.

Calling All Cars - Another downloaded game that ate up alot of my free time.  It has a charming simple design thats easy to fall in love with.  This game would have been a classic except that there is almost nobody to play online!  Without competitive multiplayer this game fails to hold my interest.  I haven't played this in months.

MLB:07 The Show - Simply great.  One of the best baseball titles I've ever played.  Games are fast paced and I pick this up to play a couple times a week.  Weekly updated rosters are a huge plus and keep me coming back for more.  Too bad the online multiplayer is laggy and practically unplayable.  Luckily its offline modes contain a ton of value.

Super Stardust HD - This game is basically a modern remake of the arcade classic, Asteroids.  What can I say, I love it!  Its fun to play for a high score every once and a while.  The exploding asteroids are simply a sight to behold.  Great stuff!  I could play this one for years to come.

Rainbow Six Vegas - There is a reason why people love this game...because it rocks.  Its hard as nails and oh so satisfying.  I've never been a tactical shooter fan, but this game has one me over in a big way.  I'm current mowing through the incredibly hard campaign...slowly.  Couple that with excellent offline and online mulitplayer options and you have a real winner.

Ninja Gaiden Sigma - I must be a glutton for punishment because I bought this and Rainbow Six in the same week.  I've stared at a Game Over screen more times than I care to remember.  The graphics are completely overhauled and the gameplay is as tight as ever.  This is quickly becoming a new favorite.  Its been a while since a game had me this completely obssessed.  The relentless action is so satisfying and beautiful at the same time.  I'm really glad I didn't hesistate to get this one.

Its pretty late...and I can't stay awake.  I will post a Wii and 360 lists in the morning.

Here is the list for Wii games

Nintendo Wii

The Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess -  This is a very long game.  Luckily the gameplay is addictive and wonderful.  While its not my favorite Zelda game it certain made me fall in love with the Wii awfully fast.  I played this one for months.

Wii Sports - Easily one of my favorite games on the system.  I still play this daily.  Wii bowling is still a friend favorite.  Dare I say that its timeless...

Marvel Ultimate Alliance - A pretty decent action RPG that I picked up on sale.  I played through a good portion of the single player game before I finally lost interest.

Metal Slug Anthology - This game is great.  I play it from time to time and my friends always like to try and beat it.  Simple and addictive two player mayhem.

Trauma Center - This was a Xmas gift.  Great gameplay, but since I already owned the DS version this one sat on the shelf for a while.  Once I got around to playing it, I found it wasn't different enough to play through again.

Madden 07 - The first Madden game I've purchased since EA's dreaded NFL license agreement.  Luckily this game is incredible.  Sadly, it doesn't see much playing time since its not football season anymore.

The Godfather - A game that is defined by its motion controls.  GTA spinoffs don't really do it for me and had this game not had stellar controls I would have never bought it.  This game was fun for a while, but I never got around to finishing it.

Tiger Woods 07 - A fantastic golf game.  I would play this everyday for months.  Taking days off meant my friends would probably get better than me and I couldn't let that happen.  One of the best multiplayer games on the system.

Rayman Raving Rabbids - My girlfriend LOVES this game.  So much so that she demanded to play almost everytime I saw her.  We beat it in about a week, but the multiplayer kept us coming back for more.  This is fun to bust out at partys as an alternative to Wii Sports.

Rampage Total Destructions - I bought this game for $15.  It probably got played for a week and then it was retired.  The only reason I take this game out is for cathartic purposes.  Smashing cities is a great way to reduce stress.

Wii Play - I bought this for the extra remote.  I have never played the actual game inside...

SSX Blur - Feilong introduced this game to me and I'm glad he did.  Its a great sports title that I would have otherwised passed up on.  When I first bought it I was hopelessly addicted.  Its still fun to break out once and while.

Resident Evil 4 - If any Wii game can create an addiction its this one.  Pure joy.  I play this all the time.  For $30 its easily the best value on the Wii.  If you don't own this yet...go buy it now!

You should give it a try JLH. It's predictably shallow, but the Tanks game is pretty fun.

Xbox 360 list

Gears of War - The single player campaign is good enough to play through multiple times.  Co-op is also a blast.  Since I don't have xbox live I don't get to play the multiplayer.  It doesn't bother me though because I have played it before and its not really my thing.

The Outfit - If you took the old genesis game General Chaos and mixed it with Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction...you would get the outfit.  I love this game.  Sure it looks like a xbox game, but the missions are fun, there is a strategic element to multiplayer (you have to capture buildings) and its just plain fun.  I'm really glad I took a chance on this game.

Just Cause - I've come to the conclusion that pretty much nobody does GTA like Rockstar.  Sure companies try to copy the formula, but it never keeps me coming back like GTA.  That said, Just Cause has some of the best action sequences I've ever experienced in a game.  Plus I love the jungle setting.  I'm glad I got this at a discounted price though, $60 would have been a rip off.

Earth Defense Force 2017 - Fantastic game.  As a budget title the value is through the roof.  This is easily my favorite Xbox 360 game.  I love the campy vibe and I love the destruction you can cause.

Tiger Woods Golf 07 - As much as I love Wii Tiger Woods, I still enjoy the standard controlled games too.  Plus this is easily the best looking Tiger Woods game yet.  The classic gameplay is still there and the fun factor with friends is through the roof.  Best thing about this franchise is that you can buy one and skip the next few years...unlike Madden.

a- I have played Wii Play before.  My friend and cousin have the game and its never really impressed me.  I like the pool game, and tanks is neat, but I don't think I'll ever touch that game again.  It lacks that competitive nature that Wii Sports brings to the table.  Plus at this point my friends and I have much better multiplayer games to choose from.
