Is Ailen Syndrome is bad as the reviews say?

I would guess it is more fun, knowing how the mainstreamers like to review games. But I haven't had a chance to rent it, so don't take my word for gospel.

I only played the Sega Master System version. For a short review, the game is a cool cross between aliens and Gauntlet. You get some kick-butt weapons and the aliens look wicked cool. The only thing I DID NOT like was the SMS controller made the game impossible to play, it is too "floaty" for a tight maze game.
for the SMS I'd give it a B- .
