While T. rex might have had feathers, they would've been shed during infancy and we have evidence of skin imprints and fossilized skin that shows that in its adult life it was hairless.

Now Velociraptor on the other hand...

Totally kills the Jurassic Park vibe. How can you take something that looked like that seriously?

Most of the dinosaurs in Jurrasic park where wrong. (not to mention that only two of them were FROM the jurrasic, the rest are Cretaceous)..the worst is Dilophasaurus. Little tiny dinosaurs that spit venom?! We have no proof that any dinosaur did that (and since birds don't they probably did not), no frills and the biggest mistake was that Dilophasaurus was over 20 feet long, not tiny little things-the only thing they got right was the crest on the skull. Velociraptor was based more on Utahraptor which was closer to the size in the film and from america (Velociraptor is from mongolia), but Speilberg liked the veloci- name better. Of course by the third film we knew they all had feathers and indeed, in JP 3, some feathers can be seen on the "raptors" (not nearly enough though). None of the JP films are quite "right", but then it is fantasy, not science.

I love when people argue about dinosaurs, evolution, and religion. When it comes to these things, all we can do is guess. Odds are everybody is wrong about everything.
Has anyone mentioned Primal Rage yet?? It was easily the #3 most popular fighting game, behind Street Fighter 2 and Mortal Kombat.
Seconded, although the concept is much cooler than the execution.

I owned the Genesis version of Primal rage and it looked like mud, and the sound was like a broken record.

Someday I would like to get the SNES or 32X version. I don't really think of it as a "dinosaur" game though, there are people, it is in the future, and you can play as giant Apes too. More inspired by Rampage I think. (and the long snake-necked "dinosaur" has no real-life corolation).

Star Fox Adventures had dinosaurs in it, but it only had a few "real" ones. The main enemies, for example, look like stunted allosaurs with thumbs, and the peaceful "villager" dinosaurs are stegosaurs with anklyosaur plating. But it did have you fight T.rex inside an Aztec temple.

There was also a Mac game called Nanosaur, where you played as a superintelligent dinosaur with a laser gun. Don't know where you'd find it now, though.

Conker's Bad Fur Day and its remake, Conker Live and Uncut, both have the same basic caveman/dinosaur set of stages.  It was one of my favorite N64 games, so I have fond memories.

Caveman Games (NES) - Funny take on the Track and Field games

Dino Park Tycoon (3DO) - A very rare 3DO game in which you make your own "Jurassic Park" amusment park.

Jurassic Park Operation Genesis (PS2, Xbox) - Basically the same as Dino Park Tycoon, but it is actually based on the license.  Its actuall pretty fun too.

DinoLand (Genesis) - A pinball game that features dinos.  Plays sort of like Devil's Crush and or Alien's Crush.

Boomer's Adventure in Asmik World (Game Boy) A cool little puzzle game in which you control a pink dinosaur trying to get to the top of a tower.  Each level you dig up keys to reach the exit.  Very hard, but very fun.  A personal childhood favorite.

Monster Rancher (PS1) - Though the game has several different species to raise, the Dino monster is a very popular choice for starters.

Adventure Island (NES and SNES) In the latter games you could find dinosaurs in eggs and ride them.  Each one had a different power.

Mega Bomberman (Genesis) - For some reason this edition of Bomberman featured a bunch of dinosaurs that you could ride...

The Secret of Evermore (SNES) - This action RPG took place during several different periods in time.  The beginning of the game takes place in a dinosaur infested jungle...
