PC: Conquer Club.  Funky will back me up on that.

Hey Atarifever,
I would have responded earlier, but I've been too busy playing "Risk" at Conquer Club!  (conquerclub.com for those that don't know.)

Games that Sell a system?

Postby Edward M » April 24th, 2008, 12:08 am

I dont know what sells a system, but I will put what I bought each system for.  Please note some of these choices will seem odd, but they were the games I had in mine when I bought the systems.

SNES- Sim City

Genesis -   Sonic and Knuckles

Nintendo DS -   Castlevania Dawn of Sorrow

GBA -   Duke Nukem 3d

PSP -  Mega Man Powered Up

Nintendo 64 - Mario 64 (my God what a game!)

PSX - Resident Evil 2

Saturn -  Nights into Dreams

Wii -   Super Paper Mario

Playstation 2 -   Twisted Metal Black

Gamecube -   Star Wars Rogue Squadron

Xbox 360 -   Kameo

Xbox  - Jet Set Radio Future

Dreamcast - Sonic Adventure (Played a Japanese version of this game at gamestop in late 1998 and it was torture waiting until 9:9:99 for it to come out!)

I thought that this was an interesting topic from back in the day. What do you think are system sellers nowadays?

Wii U- Mario Kart 8, Super Smash Bros Wii U
3DS- SSB 3DS, Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds
PS4- The Last of Us Remastered, GTA V
Xbox One- Master Chief Collection, Far Cry 4, Grand Theft Auto V

Sixth Generation

Xbox - Halo, Star Wars: Battlefront, Crimson Skies
PS2 - Metal Gear Solid, God of War, Jak and Daxter
GameCube - Resident Evil 4, Luigi's Mansion, Pikmin
Game Boy Advance - Super Mario Kart: Super Circuit, Pokemon Anything, WarioWare

Seventh Generation

Xbox 360 - Halo 3, Kameo, Bioshock
PS3 - Uncharted, Resistance, Little Big Planet
Wii - Super Mario Galaxy, Wii Sports, Donkey Kong Country Returns

I'd rather wait another year before listing a solid 8th generation system seller that wasn't sold this or the past year.

Shouldn't a 'system seller' be a system exclusive?

Yeah, I guess it's a little too early for the current generation since there aren't that many system exclusives. Here older ones that I picked up a console for:

GBA- Advanced Wars
PSP- Castlevania Dracula X
DS- Advanced Wars Dual Strike
NGC- Eternal Darkness, MGS Twin Snakes, SSB Melee
Xbox- Halo, Fushion Frenzy (sad but I did buy the console for it)
PS2- GTA III, million+ RPGs
PS1- MGS
N64- SSB, Super Mario 64, Snowboarding Kids 2
SNES- Super Mario World, Contra III
Genesis- Sonic 3 & K
Turbografx 16 + CD- Castlevania Dracula X
