There is no reason to resist. The game is only 10 bucks. C'mon, man! Live a little!

Critic, as somebody that seemed to enjoy the earlier Mega Man games, you OWE it to yourself to cave in! Really, the idea of downloadable games is almost like a godsend for those of us that crave a more retro experience. Between this, Pac Man: Championship, Bionic Commando, and Dr. Mario RX, I may not have a need for the console side of things!

When you consider that this game would have been around $30 in disc form, downloading isn't so bad.

Well, as I mentioned earlier, I'm in the proccess of moving (in the unpacking stage now) and this game was released the day after I packed the wii. Finally yesterday we got internet hooked up at our new place (I've been going online with my cell phone as a modem last week) and the first thing I did was download this game while the verizon fios guy was still hooking up the tv box. This game is great! I agree that this game has potential to be popular enough and draw enough attention to itself to be very influential.

Reviving this thread from the past to ask a question. Did anyone purchase Hero or Super Hero mode for Mega Man 9? Which would you suggest over the other if you did?
I made what's likely my last Wii Shop purchase ever (Barring maybe a Club Nintendo freebie here and there) and have a buck left over to spend in order to drop my balance to zero. So like I usually do when I have a bit left over, I took a look at Mega Man 9 and 10 to see what DLC I can buy (Which has led to me purchasing the special stages from each game up to now which I recommend).
I have these two for my options. Nothing I'd ever go out of my way to buy, but it's this or lose the buck.

I would choose Super Hero Mode as it's the harder mode; Hero Mode is basically slightly altered design and placements that doesn't feel too different from the default game. Personally, Mega Man 10's difficulty management is better realized as you don't have to pay to obtain Hard Mode; it's unlocked when you beat the game on Normal Mode.
