Ninja Assualt!!

Seriously though, Naruto I guess. I'm not a big fan of ninjas, except the turtles, Splinter, Shredder, BATMAN and Rock Lee. I like pirates a lot more.

there was a debate on DP about this subject, i just cant vote for ryu of ninja gaiden, as any supposed "ninja" would never have that much problem with birds

Okay, which is better:
The original COIN-OP ninja gaiden (translated only to LYNX)

or the re-done NES series?

I admit I never played the original coin-op, although I DID plat Street Fighter ONE in an arcade long ago, and thought it was
cool, even though you could only play Ryu.

BTW, Both ninja fighters are called "RYU"-that seems a popular
fighter name. Anyone know what "Ryu" means? And is it
pronounced "ROO"? I hear Cats pronounce it "REE-YOW!"

The original arcade version is little more than a frustrating, quarter-munching "Final Fight" clone. The NES version is way more interesting.

You can try the original on MAME.

I love Ninja Gaiden for NES and XBOX. But Shinobi 3 is in the running for best ninja game ever with its sweet graphics, tight control and large number of moves.[/QUOTE]

I just recently picked up a used copy of Shinobi 3 the other day for a couple of bucks. It's amazing how well this game has aged.

I've always wished that Sega would do another 2D Shinobi game for the PS3 or  something but make it 2D with 3D graphics. Man the possibilities!

I-Ninja for current systems is pretty fun and humorous and has lots of platforming in it.

Ryu is japanese for "Dragon" (while Ken is japanese for "Fist").

The pronounciation is very similiar to "you".

Ok, I'm having trouble finding a NES game that I have in one of those 50 n 1 games.  My top loader works but this game is so old, it cuts out once I get to a certain level.  Ok, I'll try to describe the game and how you play.  You are basically a little red ninja and have to beat 8 guys to advance to the next level.  On each level there are four layers to jump up to get the guys.  However, you have to break little bricks to get up to the top.  You can collect three things that help you beat the guys and when you do you turn into a frog with the little ninja on top and you get to eat the guys.  The whole screen turns black and the guys are pretty much glowing so you can find and eat them.  As you get farther in the game, the master guys you have to beat include a penguin, a hen, and skeleton guy.  This is a weird game but i havent played it in soo long and when i do i can only play up to a certain level...please help me if you know the name.  The name on my game is called Ninja 2 but I know that this is not the right name.  Help...
