FIRST Favorite Game?
Thought it might be fun to resurrect one of these old discussions.
My first favorite game was probably Dragon Warrior I&II for the Gameboy Color. It wasn't the first time I'd played an RPG--I had the original DW on NES just like everyone else and also got Final Fantasy: Mystical Quest on the Super Nintendo. But this was the first RPG that I really, really got into. It was a whole world to get lost in, right there on my tiny GBC. Zelda: Link's Awakening was certainly good, but felt a little claustrophobic in comparison.

For me it would have to be Sonic Adventure 2, that game just blew my mind as a kid, i'd enjoyed Sonic games before, but this one really grabbed me to the point where I was playing it every day for months just trying to get A ranks in every level so I could get all 180 emblems.(I actually did manage to get all A rank but couldn't get all the emblems cause of those stupid Chao races which I absolutely sucked at).

mega man 4
[/QUOTE]I seemed so sure of it back then. It could have been Mega Man 4. It could have been Super Mario Bros. 3, Punch-Out!!, or Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles as well. Yeah, it was probably one of those four. Those are the ones I played the most when I was a kid.-

Still Qbert and Pacman 2600.
Nice to see half a decade ago I still said what I was about to write now. Must be true.

For me, Chrono Trigger for the SNES hands down. I remember getting hooked the first time I played it. I have beaten it multiple times including the Playstation and Nintendo DS versions. This is a game that never got boring or old to me. I told my wife that when I die, I want this game to be buried with me lol.

My favorite game of all time? Well, it's been the same for a while. Sonic 3 and Knuckes, that game is just fantastic. I can't get enough of it. Now, I'm not saying it's the best game of all time. No, that honor goes to Resident Evil 4, for the least flawed gaming experience ever.

FIRST Favorite Game?
While Mega Man 2 was probably my first favorite game (I got it for Christmas knowing nothing about it and was put off by the box art, but I ended up playing with it more than anything other gift), I have to give a special mention to the original Final Fantasy, which I got about 8 months later. Never had I loved a game so much that I carried the map and instruction booklet to school with me, or had I made up games on the playground using the various monsters, weapons and spells. What made me love it even more was that my cousins HATED it; they couldn't understand the appeal of a game where you didn't swing your sword yourself in real time. That truly made it a game for me and me alone.
