Probably either Sonic 1 or Sonic 3 & Knuckles.  I remember playing Sonic 1 more, but I'm pretty sure I was more excited and in love with 3 & Knuckles when I beat it, since that was the first video game I beat, if I recall correctly...

Adventure for the 2600.  Was this the first "survival-horror" game?  It was pretty scary when you walked onto a new screen and there was a duck...I mean dragon that started chasing you.  Especially if you didn't have the arrow...er "sword".  It's kind of like having no ammo in the original Resident Evil.  Run ***** run!  LOL

I wouldn't call it survival horror at all.  It's just an adventure game.  It's tense in the same way any adventure game is tense.

Still, it is one of the games that stood out to me as different from many other arcade-ish titles of the period.  Same reason I always liked ET.

Q-Bert 2600.  Also, PacMan 2600 (first game I ever played, so for awhile there it was my favorite anything ever).  Q-Bert was the first one I remember thinking was my favorite game ever.

my first favorite game was the mattel electronics handheld football game. that thing was awesome, and i played it constantly.

my first favorite game for my first system, the 2600, was space invaders. blew my mind that i could play space invaders from home.

with the INTV, my first favorite game was AD&D Treasure of Tarmin. I played that thing for hours and hours.

finally, my first favorite CV game was jumpman jr. one of the best games for the system.

NHL '94 SNES..no question. As I have probably mentioned on previous threads, this is the one game I have put the most time into over the years. Got in for Christmas in 1993 and from then on have been playing it all the time. Hell, I go to college now in CT and when I go back to Jersey, I always play it. It's one of the few games that will never get old, a true classic.
