Is everyone here as giddy as I am about Metroid Prime DS coming out in the next day or so?
I guess this subject could be used as a forum for us to share our usernames on MPH... it would be great to hear all of your voices!
I'm both an FPS and a Metroid conoisseur, so I'm happy where the series went. I'm just appalled that they made a pinball game out of it. (I hate pinball.)
I hear they *are* coming out with another 2D Metroid, for the DS no less--Metroid Dread. So we can both be happy.
How the h$ll do you aim using the stylus and shoot? How is it possible to hold the DS? Do you shoot using the touch screen? Do you have to hold the DS in your lap? That would defeat the purpose of it being a handheld game.

You shoot with the L-button, move with the D-pad, aim with the center of the touch screen, change weapons and turn into a morph ball with buttons at the edge of the touchscreen, and jump by double-tapping the "aim" part of the touch screen. It's really not that cumbersome, but does take a little getting used to. The aiming is about as precise as a keyboard and mouse; if you think the Xbox control pad was good for FPS's, you haven't seen anything.
