I think a 3-D Sonic CAN work, but Sega really needs to start from scratch, with a new engine and new programmers. They've been beating a dead horse, the way they keep recycling the Sonic Adventure engine that goes all the way back to the first game on Dreamcast.

That's the last thing I want, sega has shown they have no idea how to inovate in 2-d anymore, with sonic rush. While it isn't bad at all it's quite good, but it's just like evryother 2-d sonic game. And not very compelling.

No need for etc. after naming those two. Do a good comix Zone sequel (done in the style of the first one) and actually do the Vectorman game they've been talking about doing, and I believe working on and canceling.

I agree that Sega should dig up more old gems, I would even include Golden Axe series, Sub terrania, Thunderforce series,
heck even old OLD characters like FLICKY. Wouldn't a GOLDEN
AXE adventure be cool? There was a small one done on the game gear! Also, I dig SPACE HARRIER! Thats one of the few 3D games I ever liked. With today's engines THAT could be phenomanal!

sadly, sonic games keep selling in their current state, so they will continue to do more of the same

Sonic 2 played completely different to 1. And 3 and Knuckles were very different to 2 too. I think Sonic games should stick to just being about adrenaline rushing through stages. Sonic games don't need guns, hoverboards or any of that gimmicky stuff. The Sonic Adventure games may have had some issues with camera difficulties and a couple of the extra characters but the bulk of those titles felt like Sonic games. They had the same speed, gameplay and sense of style. It seems that those things have been lost since the Adventure games with regards Sonic's home console titles. Sega should go back and look at bringing us some more of that style of action.

Ever since I was 5 I loved Sonic, I own every single one of his games (I bought the collections, and those certainly helped!) But any game he's made, I loved. I haven't even played Shadow, because I only like Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and various other "beggining characters" They DO add on WAY to many characters now a days! But I love ALL Sonic games, no questions asked!
