The quality of it is poor. The Xbox version has a bug that currupts your save file after every few hours of play (As does the PS2 versions, was fixed for the GCN). Race Drivin's emulation quality sucks, STUN Runner's speed and fps are all screwed up. Rush The Rock is barely controllable and doesn't even have the original music from the arcade game, its been replaced for this collection. Hydro Thunder, Rush 2049, Badlands, Super Off-Road, and Off Road Thunder are all well done.
But the bugs, absolute lack of any cool extras, and having almost half the games not even run halfway like they're supposed to meant I couldn't recommend it a year ago and I can't recommend it now, especially since two of the best games weren't even arcade ports but just Dreamcast ports that many interested in MAT3 might already own.
Midway Arcade Treasures 2 was worth it for Timber alone. Total Carnage was nice on it. I enjoyed APB, Championship Sprint, and Hard Drivin' even though they couldn't match their arcade counterparts due to control differences. And I enjoyed checking out everything else even if they weren't games I'd frequently come back to, besides the fighting games which I largely ignored. Only major problem I saw was Wizard of Wor was all screwed up.
Too bad Midway's decided selling a couple classics a year on XBLA and Sony's online store is better, I was looking forward to a new Midway Arcade Classics on the 360 that brought together the past three versions while fixing bugs, and adding in another 20 or so games from their past catalog. Don't see that happening now and I doubt they'd ever go beyond the games we already own on these three collections for these download services.
