Jurassic Park games are great for the summer - too bad these two SNES entries are stinkers. Dracula X for the SNES is not bad, but doesn't live up to its name.

You should check out Jurassic Park: Rampage Edition on the Genesis, that's easily the best Jurassic Park game out there.

this is a tragedy that the second snes jurassic park get such a low grade. This game is a classic, in the same line as Contra III. This game is fun, challenging and fit in with the movie very well. I really dont get such a low grade. It is as odd as the snes version of Doom or NHL Stantley Cup

I remember playing this game with a friend just for the first person shooter segments when I was a kid, heh

That one's good, but I actually prefer the third Genesis game - The Lost World. Unfortunately it came out late in the console's life cycle, so it didn't gain much attention. The gameplay is similar to the first SNES game (with no FPS stages but awesome 3D boss fights instead), though way more fast-paced, and it has a lot of cool features - among them rideable vehicles, a useful map system, and a fun two-player mode, including a simple deathmatch arena which is unlocked via password (the game gives it to you after completing a certain set of missions). I'd really like to know how it would fare in the Critic's opinion.

Sorry to the people who liked these games! Glad you don't take my reviews too seriously. Every game deserves to be loved by somebody.
As for the Genesis games, I plan to review (or re-review) those Jurassic Park games as well.

It sucks that I saw Dracula X for $10 at a local video game shop and didn't get it. I didn't reacquire my SNES yet and I did not know this game was going for big bucks like its Turbografx/PC Engine cousin.

Did you play the Game Gear one? The Critic wasn't lying about it, because it's awesome and that's the best one I've played, though the only other ones I played were the first two Genesis ones.
