These are two SNES re-reviews.
Robocop Versus Terminator's score was reduced from B- to C-.
This was largely due to having played the Genesis version, which is MUCH better.
Primal Rage got a small bump from a D to a D+.
Comments are welcome as always.

Any review with the phrase "bowl haircut" in it that gets less than an A- is a complete sham.

I thought the letter grades were relative to others in a console library, so why is the whole RvT review relative to a different console? Or do multiplatform releases get their own rules?

Good question! The grades are indeed relative to other games for the same system.
However, since the capabilities of the Genesis and SNES are VERY similar, I think it's fair to compare games for both systems. Their grades are pretty much on the same level. If a game appears on both systems and one gets a higher grade, it's safe to say it's the better version.

I recently bought Robocop vs Terminator for the Genesis after reading your review to play on my new Nomad. The Genny version is awesome including sound, graphics and gameplay.
To bad to hear the SNES versions not as good. But to be honest it seems like games of this ilk are the Genny's bag so it's not totally surprising.

Glad to see that you lowered the grade of the Robocop vs Terminator game. It's an average side scrolling shooter that pails in comparison to the fast paced Genesis game. I remember buying the SNES game a couple years ago...not knowing they were different. Man was I ever disappointed. You went from the SNES version to the Genesis. Try starting with the Genesis version...loving it and then buying and playing the SNES one thinking they're the same. Man what a let down that was. I couldn't order the Genesis game fast enough!
I remember the SNES Primal Rage being OK when I was around 13. Going back and playing it now is tough. That game didn't get a proper port until the CD based games.

It's really surprising that the Genesis version turned out so much better then the SNES game, usually it is the other way around. Still, before your Genesis review I had never even heard of the games. Good reviews, found them entertaining to read.

That's false. Mortal Kombat, Joe and Mac, Lost Vikings, Aladdin, Earthworm Jims, Cool Spot are all better on Genesis, just to name a few.
"Enemies in the first stage tend to be chicks, and it doesn't feel right walking down the street pumping slugs into a bunch of screaming women."
You should take a walk down the streets of my neighborhood. It would feel oh so right.
