What did you get for Christmas?

I got a Nintendo 3DS this Christmas.  Pretty excited to get one.  Now I just have to narrow down a couple of games to get.  I'm thinking either A Link Between Two Worlds or Bravely Default.

I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas/Happy Holiday!

I kept all of my purchases/gifts digital and portable:

-Steamworld Dig (eshop sale): what an AWESOME game! I can't wait for Steamworld Heist!
-VVVV (eshop): very short, but oh so sweet! A game with no filler!
-Mega Man II and III (eshop game boy sale): these games have aged horribly, and downloading them is pointless since you can download the far-superior nes games that the gb games were modeled after.
-Fractured Soul (eshop sale): a novel concept, but a bit empty, boring, and disorienting.
-Phoenix Wright Trilogy (eshop): I love these games so having them downloaded to my 3DS is a no-brainer.
-my very own French press!
-a cordless drill
-a one night stay in Victoria BC.

Since my hobbies are cooking, running, and working out (along with gaming of course) I got:

2 cookbooks, including what ingredients are good pairings for proteins, veggies, and fruits.
Bunch of lightweight running shirts, socks, and shorts.
Weight straps and Dumbbells.
Coffee mug. By Thermos, keeps coffee hot for 5 hours.
Veggie slicer, pasta maker (makes pasta shaped zucchini).

I picked up dragon age inquisition for the Xbox one last month but have only played a few hours.

I got cold hard cash which worked out perfectly for me. I have so many games I don't think someone could really try and buy for me without me giving them a list, which kind of ruins the point of Christmas. Cash sort of does to, but I would have been fine with nothing really. I just enjoy spending time with my family. It's the one time a year where we all have always been together and that's become really important to me over the last few years.

Same here. Since I have three nieces, these days Christmas is all about making it a special day for them.

My big gift had nothing to do with gaming - a Fender Squier Vintage Modified 5-String Jazz Bass from my Dad (with a protective hard case from my Mom). I did get a $100 Visa gift card, which I've since used to buy Shovel Knight ($10.04) and Brothers ($1.49) on Steam. I'm still keeping my eye on the Steam Sale, but my backlog is big enough that I'm only going to buy something if I really want it and the price is right. I also got a USB dongle that allows me to use my XBox 360 wireless controller on my computer and it works amazingly well.

This has definitely become the greater focus since I've gotten a little older. Going house-to-house with my family on Christmas Eve was the highlight of the entire holiday season for me. It was also nice this year to be able to get a few things for my family (especially my niece and nephew) this year after being unemployed last year.

I got some nice budget bargain titles for Nintendo 3DS:
- Resident Evil Revelations (can't stop playing this one, great!)
- Angry Birds Star Wars

Also got some 3DS eShop points, for which I got
- Soul of Darkness (DSiware, short but enjoyable Castlevania clone)
- Steamworld Dig (once more... short but enjoyable)
