As I understand it, the finishing moves in Eternal Champions are activated by defeating your opponent in a certain position on the screen. I could never get them to work as a kid, which sucked because that was pretty much the only reason I rented the game.

I've played eternal champions but I could never get into the game. God it's hard. Plus the characters are not that memorable. I have the Genesis and Sega CD versions and the CD one is better but not by much. Not a fan of this series.

Yeah Eternal Champions (CD edition) is one I've always wanted to like, but it just doesn't flow.
I just remember the magazines of the time raving about it. Not a patch on Street Fighter 2 or Mortal Kombat 2 the contempories it was competing with.

Right on the money with the Robocop 3 post. No intro to the game just straight into hard mode. Shooting you at all levels. Really poor graphics which would have looked shoddy on the Sega Master System. I am glad I never bought it at the time or I would have went straight back to the shop and said it was sh** and I wanted my money back. F- is being generous to this abomination.
