I always thought Cosmic Commuter looked good but the gameplay was bland. I haven't tracked down the cart yet even though I like most 2600 Activision games. Seems like the Critic's review is spot on.

As a feminist completely accepting of all the kinky fun adults can share with each other, my only objection to the game is that it's almost as repetitive and dull as the actual books.

Why not allow the players to decide who's topping? And where are the same sex options? And the two player option, while hidden (Quickly hit reset until the screen explodes, Yar's Revenge style), is completely broken - you can use the safe word with a single button press, but it ends the game instantly. Talk about lazy programming. Better than the alternative, but apparently, there's no stoplights or speed limits in this highway...

Also, only a complete sadist wouldn't use the safe word, after the first 5 minutes...odd bit of role reversal, that. But if you're looking to break up a relationship, this game comes highly recommended.

The funny thing about it is I could totally see a homebrew dev making that into a real game.   A few quick hacks and it would probably be real LOL

Well played Critic.

Heh I like the "50 Shades" joke review. That was a pretty good one. I wouldn't feel like much of a fool for believing it was real though.

I think the key to a good April Fool's joke is it needs to be just believable enough that people have to think twice about it.

In the month before Mark Jewell and I went back and forth about the screenshot design. When all was said and done he said:

"This is officially the weirdest thing I have created for you. A guy with his pants around his ankles, facing a naked woman with a blindfold, rope and tape on the ground..."

I think the best part of the joke is that I think we could all see how someone could easily make this game and release it on the internet. It was genius.
