Re: Madden vs. Tecmo Bowl
I know that this isn't the point of the video, but it would have been nice if Madden included a retro mode the way MLB: The Show 17 did. Theirs was modeled after RBI Baseball, so it would have been cool if Madden 18 had a Tecmo Super Bowl mode with modern graphics.
But yeah, we just played way back when. No installs, no patches. The only thing we had to worry about was the occasional game that wouldn't let you skip the developer credits. NBA Jam on the Game Gear comes to mind.

I agree, a retro mode in Madden would be a selling point for me. I know the NHL series did an NHL 94 mode in some of the later games.

There is so much truth to that video. My friends and I like to play a mix of classic and new games, but the modern stuff is always a time-consuming ordeal.

So true Critic! My son bought Bloodborne the other day and I almost laughed at how long it took before he could actually play it. Installs and updates are out of control. I remember buying my kids a Wii U for Christmas years ago and having to sneak and install the day one update without them knowing. It took a ridiculous amount of hours just to make the thing playable. Merry Christmas kids, have fun trying your games out tomorrow!
