Here are my reviews of two good (but not great) Sega Master System platformers.
I'd like to hear your thoughts.

Haven’t played those ones but I have played Legend of Illusion on Game Gear. It’s a sequel to Land of Illusion. It too is a solid game but not on the same level as the Genesis Castle of Illusion.

And the Genesis didn’t get those sequels but it did have World of Illusion.

Oh yeah - I forgot about World of Illusion - will have to amend the review.
Thanks

Shouldn't Land of Illusion be decorated with the import icon? I know Castle of Illusion got a US release, but I don't think I've ever seen a non-PAUL US Land of Illusion, although I would guess it got a Japanese release.

Hi. The first sentence in Land of Illusion contains a comparison to an unnamed game. This may confuse readers who don't know what the game is a sequel to.

Nice reviews, I never knew about these Master System versions. Always interesting to read about games that were on both the Genesis and Master System, since the MS version usually seems to be a completely different game rather than a dumbed-down port.

If you're interested in another game like that, Sonic the Hedgehog 1 & 2 are worth checking out on the Master System. Both are good games, but I think Sonic 2 on the MS is a little better than Sonic 1.

I live in Europe and the Master System was my first gaming console. Never played Land of Illusion, but Castle of Illusion was one of my favorite games back in the days... (besides Sonic, Golden Axe, Bubble Bobble, Double Dragon, Choplifter...) (I think I played games more, because I had less of them. Nowadays I have so many games, I don't spend so much time on each individual game anymore).
