Re: Funniest Parts in Video Games
Here's something in Nier Automata that's kind of unintentionally funny. There's a robot who likes to talk about existentialism named Jean-paul, based on a real guy. But apparently that guy's descendant copyrighted the name and threatened to sue them, but they'd already recorded the dialogue and couldn't change it, so they just bleeped his name out. The weirdest part is that they leave his name in the subtitles. Fortunately he's a minor side character so it doesn't effect much. But still... "Hey, 2B? Don't you think that [beeeeep] guy is a little over glorified?"

Anything with Trevor from GTA V, he made me laugh more than most comedies superb voice acting and animation sure helped as well.
Shenmue for unintentional laughs “Hey mister, want to play with me ?”.

I'll forever claim that the most unintentionally funny game ever made is Girl's Club for the Philips CD-i. It turns out that an old, terrible dating game for 12 year old girls is actually the perfect party game for a group of adults of drinking age. Yet another reason why the CD-i is too underrated...
Plus, how can you not love the catchy theme song??:

When you get killed in Super Mario Sunshine, and that little honk at the end. Hilarious!

Also, in The Last of Us, Joel cursing out when you fail to start a generator. Reminds me of when I would be cracking up watching my dad trying to start a lawnmower.

Just wondering how you propositioned this one ?
“Hey guys want to play Girls Club ?” Followed by the sound of friends making a run for it.

Ha, fortunately the game sells itself when you look at the cover!! How could they not want to play this??
My wife is the bigger fan of it than me. I'll try to play a more typical 4-player game when friends are over, while she'll advocate for Girls Club. We even tried it with her parents once. Her dad won, and got to go on a date with Eric, a nerdy Asian kid who loved physics. We awaited anxiously to see if he would get a kiss at the end of the date, and... (*spoiler*) he did!!
Hilarious game with the right group of people.
