Good news for all those that hate Microtransactions/Loot Boxes.

It a good thing the US Government wants the awful Microtransactions/Loot Boxes banned because it a problem with modern games especially after the now infamous Star Wars Battlefront II situation. Thoughts on this?

One senator, not the government. With the state of corporate lobbying these days, it would be an uphill battle to get any regulation through, let alone an outright ban on sale to minors. I'm not holding my breath.

True, but it is a step in the right direction after the dumpster fire that is Battlefront II loot box controversy. And that is a big deal as people are now paying more attention to this problem as it not slowing down any time soon.
